Snippets & Snatches....rain...36*

Has anybody ever seen one of these "Cartercraft Studios - Loomette"?
Circa 1940, about 4 inches square

While sorting through my accumulated crafting stash the other day I came across it, I believe I acquired it many years ago at an estate auction in a box along with some old 'workbasket' magazines and other crafty items....

Notice the typewritten suggestion page giving marketing ideas to help the homemaker sell her wares. Maybe the original 'network marketing' idea!
It made me stop and think of the many ways womankind have used to add income to their households through the centuries. Of course while still caring for their homes, families, garden patch, chickens and probably a milk animal. Notice how it ends---"The fact that YOU have the AMBITION to do something on YOUR OWN should make YOU PROUD"
doesn't make that you want to get out there and CREATE something????

I think this will be the new topic in my "Snippet" column.
You're all invited to share some of your family histories along these lines if you care to.
