Tomato Soup... Sunny.... 70's....

  Tomato Whey Soup

28 oz. can whole tomatoes
1 medium bell pepper
1 medium onion
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup chopped kale
2 cups whey (use chicken broth if no whey is available)
basil or oregano to taste
parsley, basil or oregano for garnish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
season salt to taste

Chop pepper, onion & garlic and cook with kale until soft in 2
Tablespoons olive oil. Drain tomatoes and add liquid to veggies and
continue to cook 10 minutes. With slotted spoon remove veggies from
liquid and add to whole tomatoes and blend until smooth. Return to pan
and heat with herbs and seasonings until just starting to simmer. Add
whey and heat carefully until hot. Serve with sprinkle of smoked
paprika and garnishes. Small cubes of cheddar cheese are a nice
addition too. You'll be surprised how tasty this is, and the whey adds
protein to the veggies....
