Tempest Pearl and Clover Gale turned 8 months old last week! Yes they are still here and when they do find a home, probably not until spring, parting will be harder now that I know them so well.
If you're new to our blog, you might like to see our tutorial,

A bit about our Jewelry
Richard designs each piece in his head first then makes an individual ‘jig’ to bend and hammer the piece into the shape he desires. This time consuming process results in a unique and beautiful piece that you will never see in a mass-produced jewelry store.
All parts of his earrings, except the ear-wire, are handmade and hammered, from the hammered body of the earring right down to each individual , intricate and tiny piece .
He makes many designs, but only a few of each, and some designs are not repeated.
All Jewelry is clear-coated to prevent tarnish

MANY other items to choose from on our Etsy page, rustic table runner, quilts, beautiful country/farmlife photography, handcrafted gift items of all kinds!

Sunday Quotes...cloudy...40's
Sheets become sails
When November winds wail
Need extra pins
To counteract the wind
When a wintery feeling
Begins to take hold
When the wind whistles stories
That haven't been told

A different Pot Roast....Rainy and cool
Another rainy day here, this is an old time favorite recipe of mine, perfect to have simmering on the back of the stove or in the crockpot on a dreary day!
Prepare to be amazed at this combination of flavors!
Taste of the Pacific Pot Roast
4 lb. Chuck Roast (approx.)
Lemon juice
6 slices Bacon
1 Lg. Onion
3/4 cup fresh or canned (whole) Tomatoes
1 1/2 cup Orange Juice
1 Bay Leaf
1 teaspoon Thyme
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
Brush meat all sides with lemon juice. Set aside, fry bacon till done,
remove from pan and cook chopped onion, remove from pan.
In drippings brown meat on all sides. Heat tomatoes and orange juice till hot.
Put all in large pan or crockpot with spices. Simmer on stovetop or
woodstove for approximately 3 hours, or in crockpot 2 hours on high
and then 4-6 hours on low. Serve with cooked rice, with some juices
drizzled over the rice.

November weather......Rain...40's
A very rainy Friday here. Here's my view from upstairs.
Those silver ribbons in the field, are excesses of water shedding to form rivulets that flow into Begley's Creek on the edge of our property.
A wonderful day to read, don't you think?
And I've been wanting to recommend these books to you. They were given to me by a dear friend years ago, and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
Hope you will also. The first to read is "Seasons of My Life".
